Evil by Andreas Blaustein

”Evil is inside of us, so we blame the money”

You’re familiar with the expression ”Money is the root of all evil”. One day I thought about that expression and it led me to some conclusions about society as a whole. I think we blame money for all evil because we don’t like to realise that the money can possess no evil within them. That’s what we humans do. So the actual quote should be ”Humanity is the root of all evil”. Even though I don’t think that expression is entirely correct either, it is much more truthful than blaming money.
The evil I’m talking about isn’t the usual world domination or psychopathic kind of evil either. It’s more about the every day kind of evil that no one ever notices. Like, for example, going to the supermarket to buy the meat and milk of millions of animals that had to suffer for that meat and milk to be produced. The previous sentence might make you think I’m concerned about this issue, but I’m not, which is my point. I don’t exclude myself or anyone from evil. I go to the supermarket to buy the meat and milk at the cost of all the suffering animals just like you do. We know, but we don’t care. That’s why it’s so nice to have money as an scapegoat.
